Frequently Asked Questions About SharpCare Grossmont
Read our frequently asked questions about SharpCare Grossmont Medical Office.
Can I be seen same day?
Yes. We always set aside a few appointment times to book same-day office visits.
If you don't have time to schedule an appointment, we do accept walk-ins for first available slots for all sick visits. However, you may need to wait for a slot to open up so it's always better to schedule an appointment if you can.
What will I need to bring to my appointment?
You will need to bring your insurance card and a photo ID with you for each appointment. Please let our staff know if you have had any information changes since your last appointment.
If you are unable to provide us with your insurance card, your appointment will unfortunately need to be rescheduled.
You will be asked to confirm your registration details annually to ensure we have accurate information.
Please also bring all of your prescription and over-the-counter medications with you at each visit. If you are on a medication that requires refills for a chronic disease (such as high blood pressure or diabetes), you will be given ample refills for 30 or 90 days at a time during your office visit.
Will I need to pay at the clinic?
Yes. All co-pays and past due balances are expected at time of service, unless a prior agreement has been made with our billing department.
How do I talk to someone when the clinic is closed?
Our office hours for patient care are:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
8 am to 5 pm - Tuesday and Thursday
10 am to 7 pm
If you have an urgent issue and need to reach your doctor after hours, please call 619-740-5757.
Do I need to come early to my appointment?
We know your time is valuable. Our providers strive to stay on time for all appointments. While we don't require you to come early, we do ask that you allow plenty of time to get to the office for your appointment.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will have the option to reschedule or stay to be seen as a walk-in.
Should your medical provider be running behind schedule, our staff will keep you informed of how long of a delay you may experience.
