Your BMI is calculated by dividing your weight by your height and squaring the result. Your BMI score can help estimate whether you may be at risk for heart disease, diabetes and some cancers.
Results
A score of 30 or higher (or 27 or higher, according to some health agencies) signifies a possible risk of obesity, while a score of 35 or higher may signify a risk of morbid obesity. Be sure to share your BMI score with your doctor.
A score of 24.9 or lower is generally considered an indicator for good health.
