Project CARE (Community Action to Reach the Elderly) is a free service offered to East County seniors through Sharp Grossmont Hospital and the Senior Resource Center. Through Project CARE, we offer daily phone calls at a time that's convenient to you. During the week, responses are monitored by the Sharp Grossmont Hospital Senior Resource Center staff and volunteers, and on weekends by hospital security personnel. If a call goes unanswered, a loved one you have previously designated will be contacted to check on you. To learn more, call us at 619-740-4214. For locations and services of Project CARE outside of East County, call 1-800-510-2020.

Vial of Life
The Vial of Life is a small container that can be placed on your refrigerator door and which holds important health-related information, such as your name, address and medication history. If paramedics arrive in an emergency, this information assists them in providing a fast, accurate medical response. Download the Vial of Life form (also available in Spanish) and keep it on your refrigerator. Keep extra copies in your car and your wallet, and bring it along when you visit your doctor. To obtain a Vial of Life container, give us a call at 619-740-4214.
