Sharp Grossmont Hospital
Sharp Grossmont Hospital Women’s Health Center Virtual Tour
We know mothers-to-be have many concerns — but even more so during this unprecedented time of uncertainty. We want to reassure you that Sharp Grossmont Hospital Women's Health Center is here for you. Because we're not offering tours of our hospital at this time, we've created a virtual slideshow of key areas to give you an idea of what to expect when you arrive to have your baby. We hope it helps to ease your concerns and answers some of your questions before your delivery.
Additionally, we’ve compiled several helpful resources in one place, to help you navigate your pregnancy. This includes a birth plan, a pre-admission form and other resources.
We also want to let you know that due to COVID-19 restrictions, and in the interest of keeping everyone safe and healthy, patients, loved ones and staff entering the building are screened upon arrival to the Women's Health Center.
Stay up to date on current visitor restrictions due to COVID-19.

Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s Women’s Health Center has many compassionate doctors, nurses and support staff who are committed to your health and safety. You are our number one priority and we’ll be with you every step of the way during this time.

We deliver nearly 3,000 babies annually and are ranked in the top 10 percent of hospitals nationally for patient satisfaction in maternal and infant health. Adjacent to the building are several 20-minute parking spaces for patient discharge or drop-off.

The Women’s Health Center is close to several colorful rose gardens that provide a healing environment for our expectant mothers.

Upon arrival, please check-in at our front desk concierge. At this time, only one support person can accompany maternity patients into the hospital. Designated support persons will be registered and receive a wristband at check-in.

After check-in, you will be directed to the triage desk. This unit assesses laboring mothers to determine the stage of labor. Mothers in active labor are admitted to the labor and delivery unit.

When you are in active labor, you will be moved to one of our 24 private labor and delivery suites. This is where you will deliver your baby along with your support person.

After delivery, you and your baby may be moved to one of our 24 spacious postpartum suites to rest and recover more fully.

Each postpartum room has a private shower, flat screen television and offers a reclining sleeper chair where a loved one can spend the night.

Parking is available in the Parking 2 structure located in the front of the hospital. The first hour is free, thereafter additional fees apply.
We'll help find the doctor who's right for you.
