Read our updated policy for hospital visitors. To reach a patient's room, please call 858-939-3400 and ask for the patient by name or room number.
If your loved one is staying with us, send a personalized e-card to brighten their day. Your message will be printed out and hand-delivered within one to two business days — completely free of charge.
From snacks to flowers, our gift shop has everything you need. During business hours, you can stop by in person or order over the phone at 858-939-3544.

To provide you with a quiet and restful place for healing, all patient rooms at Sharp Memorial are private. And for added privacy and comfort, each room includes a bathroom for your exclusive use.
Any adult family member or friend who does not require supervision or physical assistance may spend the night with you in the hospital. Only one guest at a time may stay overnight.
A sleeper sofa is available in your room for a guest spending the night. All sofas come with sheets, a blanket, a pillow and a pillowcase. A hand towel and face cloth will also be available. One of our staff members will show your guest how the bed works and where the linens are located.
Children are welcome to visit. We ask that children have a watchful adult present at all times. You may find it helpful to prepare your child in advance for what they might see during their visit. You can always ask your nurse to assist you in explaining various equipment and procedures.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Bringing in a few personal items from home can make your hospital stay more pleasant. We do provide pajama bottoms and gowns while you are in our care, but feel free to bring your own pajamas for extra comfort.
Each floor of Sharp Memorial includes a family lounge where you and your guests can go to relax and find coffee and tea — as well as a computer that you are welcome to use. Free wireless Internet is available throughout the hospital, and you can also access the Internet from the television in your hospital room.
For the convenience of you and your guests, we have several vending machines, two gift shops, a flower shop, a cafeteria and a coffee cart available to you throughout your stay.
Spiritual support is available to patients, their families and hospital staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Interfaith chaplains can provide:
Spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and hospital staff
Assistance related to sacramental needs
Help contacting a religious leader of a particular faith tradition
After hours on-call coverage for emergencies
The Spiritual Care Department also provides the following programs for our patients:
An interfaith meditation room/chapel is available for private prayer and meditation 24 hours a day on the first level of Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Interfaith chaplains are available at Sharp Memorial Hospital every day from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Interfaith chaplains are on call after hours and can be reached by calling 858-939-3400.
