If using public transportation, take bus route 1 or the green/orange trolley line to Grossmont Center Drive and Healthcare Drive.
We also offer free transportation services for non-emergency medical appointments at most Sharp locations.

Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center, located at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, helps visiting family members and friends of patients connect with their loved ones. The center offers information about visitor restrictions, accepts and delivers belongings to patients (discharge clothing, hearing aids, cell phones, eyeglasses, etc.), and sets up video calls between visitors and patients. Our video call service offers a chance for families, friends and patients to say hello and briefly check in with one another. Please visit the Family Resource Center to make arrangements.
Hours: Monday through Saturday: 10 am to 7 pm, Sunday: noon to 6 pm
When visiting the Family Resource Center, please first check in with Guest Services in the hospital main lobby. They will the direct you to the Family Resource Center.
Maternity patients are permitted one support person (18 and older), but must be the same person for the duration of the patient's stay. The support person is not permitted in triage, and may join the patient once they have been admitted to Labor and Delivery.
Every patient and support person will be screened upon arrival to the Women's Center.
The support person should stay on the unit as much as possible. Guest food trays will be provided directly to the patient's room.
To reach a patient's room, call 619-740-6000 and ask for the patient by name or room number.

If your loved one is staying with us, send a personalized e-card to brighten their day. Your message will be printed out and hand-delivered within one to two business days — completely free of charge.
Grab a bite.Our cafeteria, Mindful Cafe, is located on Level A in the main hospital building. Our kitchen features grilled selections, daily specials, sandwiches, soups, made-to-order salads and grab-and-go items.
Breakfast: 6:30 to 10 am
Lunch: 10:30 am to 2 pm
Grab-n-Go only: 2 to 4 pm
Dinner/late night: 4 to 11 pm
Late night: 11:30 pm to 2 am
